This event is the first in BridgeYear’s history. As an organization that works extensively with educators, career education programs and fellow nonprofits, we are proud to present the Postsecondary Pathways Conference to connect these invaluble Houston partners to each other.

Attendees will choose between several 25 minute breakout sessions to customize their experience.

This half-day conference will be fully virtual, allowing attentees and career education programs the opportunity to connect across the greater Houston area.

The Pathways for Young Adults Employment Services Program is an engaging, results-driven program that provides young adults career exploration, vocational training and experiential opportunities including one-on-one Job Coaching, Job Readiness Training, Vocational Training and Financial Assistance.

Texas Carpenter & Millwright
Training Trust Fund
The Texas Carpenters & Millwright Training Trust Fund trains Commercial/Industrial Carpenters and Millwrights through their Apprenticeship Training Programs. Both programs provide zero cost training meaning apprentices access our world-class 4 year program with no out of pocket cost while being compensated for every hour they work.

Capital IDEA Houston
Capital IDEA Houston’s mission is to lift working adults out of poverty and into living-wage careers through education. Capital IDEA Houston sponsors select high-demand careers that pay a living wage of $17/hr or more with benefits and the opportunity for advancement.

Chinese Community Center
The Chinese Community Center - Financial Opportunity Center offers free Financial, Vocational, and Employment Coaching services to help households set and achieve financial goals. The CCC also offers 2 vocational courses year round: Child Development Associate (CDA) & Certified Nurse Aide (CNA).

Goodwill's Google IT Pathways
Goodwill's Google IT Professional Certification teaches Python Training and coding for youth to stack credentials. All of Goodwill’s IT Pathways also provide general orientation, job readiness and community support.

HCC Continuing Education &
HCC Welding Technology
HCC's School of Continuing Education provides outstanding instruction and services in areas including: business, languages, industrial technology & energy, information technology, construction, manufacturing, transportation, public safety, and health. HCC also offers a Welding Technology program to teach students the necessary skills for entry level welding positions.

San Jacinto College
With automotive technology rapidly developing each year and becoming increasingly complex, the industry demand for qualified service technicians grows exponentially. At San Jacinto College, students receive the proper hands-on training and education needed to excel and become successful in the automotive field.

BridgeYear is a nonprofit organization founded to address the gap between high school and what’s next. We specifically work with students from underserved communities who might not have a plan after high school to introduce them to high-growth, high-demand career opportunities that pay living wages and above.

Each session will have a BridgeYear moderator to facilitate a Q&A at the end of every session. Attendees will be able to submit their questions via chat.
BridgeYear will provide Zoom information for the Postsecondary Pathways Conference via email a few days before the conference begins to registered attendees.
Yes! BridgeYear welcomes all high school counselors from our partnering schools.
Yes, each session will be recorded and made available to registered attendees after the conference.
